The Wright and Williams libraries were full of students - 75 of them - in grades 3-5 who accepted the Bluebonnet Challenge this year. These students read at least 5 books from the TX Bluebonnet Reading list (a yearly list of 20 great books) and placed their votes along with over 103,000 Texas children to pick their favorite book which will be honored at the upcoming Texas Library Association Convention in Houston this March. Here, Bluebonnet Readers are having a celebration breakfast and watching the announcement of the winning book. So proud of these young readers for going above and beyond! El Chupacabras was the winning book... which is a dual-language folk tale by Adam Rubin.
